We have at least one reason to celebrate this year. HIWIN GmbH was founded in Offenburg 30 years ago, on 1 April 1993. As the “European headquarters” of our parent company HIWIN TECHNOLOGIES CORP. in Taiwan, we have always supplied the entire German and neighbouring European market with electromechanical drive technology. 

The slogan “Being better today than yesterday” has made us what we are today: An innovative company with almost 500 employees on a course for growth. “Countless automated movements will be needed for all the new technologies that are coming onto the market,” says Managing Director Werner Mäurer. “That is where we come in. Movement is our business!”

At the official celebration of our 30th anniversary on 15 June 2023, we welcomed many guests from business and politics as well as long-standing customers and suppliers. “Our products are the reason for our collaboration. Our employees are the reason for our success,“ is how Werner Mäurer praised the customers, suppliers, partners, and especially his own staff. With “you move me”, he put the excellent work of the last 30 years in focus. The anniversary celebration for all employees on the following day, 16 June 2023, was topped off with a large fireworks display. With music from band Randy-Club and a DJ, the party went on into the morning hours.

On the occasion of our anniversary, we donated 4,000 euros each to five schools in Offenburg. The Erich-Kästner-Realschule, the Theodor-Heuss-Realschule, the Astrid-Lindgren-Schule, the Schillergymnasium and the Grundschule Rammersweier were all happy to receive their donations.

30 years! 30 years in which we have grown at our site in Baden. 30 years of change, 30 years of motion, 30 years of work. Always with an eye to the future.
