Ultimate strong DATORKER® strain wave gear – now also available as a heavy load variant
We present a new heavy load version of our DATORKER® strain wave gear. Compared to the proven standard series, the new series has a higher torque of up to 30%. With the same form factor, the new strain wave gear series therefore have significantly more power.
The new DGC/DGH series achieves the increased torque through the use of a special material mix. Additional heat treatment of the components makes them particularly resistant and able to withstand additional loads. The external dimensions remain the same compared to the standard series. "Our new heavy-duty series can therefore be used without much effort wherever our strain wave gearboxes or comparable strain wave gearboxes were used," says Werner Mäurer, Managing Director of HIWIN GmbH.
With more than 10,000 operating hours, the service life of the strain wave gears is also increased by 43%: The new manufacturing process of the Heavy Load series ensures that the gearboxes can be used for significantly longer, with the focus always on stable positioning and repeat accuracy.
The entire DATORKER® portfolio has also been given a new reduction ratio of 1:160, allowing the compact gearboxes to achieve repeatable peak torques of between 23 and 484 Nm and a power density of up to 545 Nm/kg in just one stage.
